Manderson’s investors are a crucial element of the success we have had producing the business leaders of tomorrow. In addition to their financial support, investors offer the college an invaluable source of contacts, referrals, career advice and career opportunities for students.
The Commerce Executives Society is one such institution. This society raises over $400,000 annually for scholarships, books and journals for the Bruno Library, better technology for the classrooms, and a variety of other needs.
One of the challenges the College faced in the past was its ability to provide funds to attract and retain the faculty profile required to move into the top tier of the nation’s business schools. To meet this challenge, the Culverhouse College of Commerce Board of Visitors established the Faculty Enhancement Foundation to provide the resources needed to attract the most experienced and renowned professors to its ranks. The Faculty Enhancement Foundation is dedicated to making the Culverhouse faculty salary structure competitive with peer institutions, thereby helping retain our excellent faculty while also recruiting nationally prominent scholars.
The success of this important initiative has been self-evident. Culverhouse has been able to retain and attract many of the best scholars and academic minds in the country.
